The Code

It sets the tone for how we get things done. Methods will change over time, but these values remain constant. The Code is like a map, directing us as we serve together.

1. Saved people serve people. We put others first. We think of their needs before ours and we will sacrifice our time, energy, and resources to serve them for Christ.
2. We serve like we are on the main stage. We step out of our meetings aware that guests are watching us. Our words, actions, and inaction communicate who we are and what we value.
3. Anything worth doing is worth doing right. Most people never complete the last 5% but we will not stop until the job is done right. We believe that getting it right is more important than just getting it done.
4. We are a team built on honor. We do not let personal preference keep us from serving people who are older, younger, or from a different background than us. We treat everyone like they are a VIP.
5. We believe responsibility is a team sport. We never say, “That’s not my job!” or “No one ever told me to do that!” Everyone picks up trash, cleans up their area, answers questions, and looks for opportunities to make our home, Grace City Church a better place. Serving is everyone’s calling.
6. We are always open to CHANGE. We know that nothing alive stays the same forever. We will be flexible and adapt without complaint as changes come.
7. It’s not about me! We believe in WE church, not ME church. So we serve people for THEIR benefit first. Together we trust God to reward us individually at the right time.
